How to Check Image DPI

The easiest way is the tool above — just drop your image and see the result in under a second. But you can also check DPI through your operating system:

Windows

  1. Right-click the image file
  2. Click Properties
  3. Go to the Details tab
  4. Look for "Horizontal resolution" and "Vertical resolution"

macOS

  1. Open the image in Preview
  2. Go to Tools → Show Inspector (⌘I)
  3. Click the Info tab — DPI is listed under "Image DPI"
